Lavender Bluff Farm
Western Wisconsin’s newest road trip destination
Embraces Wellenss trends
(Stockholm, WI) Are you looking for a place to exhale? And then inhale some of the best outdoor fragrances of lavender, hemp and lake air? Lavender Bluff Farm owners, Kim and Rand Kirmeier, want to reel you in for an intoxicating morning or featuring:
· options to pick your own lavender from 14 varieties
· sample a myriad of homemade Kombucha flavors around an outdoor, shaded high-top bar, or pick up a bottle to go
· picnic amongst a field of wildflowers
· and stop in their wellness farm shop, offering home-grown, certified hemp & lavender infused products, ranging from sleep tonics to healing balms, body oils and lotions
“We have this unique location for our farm, nestled in between Lake Pepin, and the river bluffs,” said Kim. “It’s exciting to see people relax when they get here. We basically create the things that we love with a focus on wellness.”
Alongside rows upon rows of lavender, the farm couple grows hemp used in their CBD healing balms and tinctures. They also grow cherries and produce honey, for their organic, homemade kombucha, a fermented, sparkling black tea drink known for its health benefits. Kombucha flavors include Sour Lavender Cherry, Blueberry Lavender Basil, Lavender Ginger Ale, and Lavendar Charge, all crafted from locally sourced ingredients. “I enjoy experimenting with different combinations with our Kombucha,” said Rand Kirmeier. “We have our standard offering, but is fun to try different combinations that are good for the gut and soul.” You can sidle up to the outdoor Kombucha bar that’s centered around a large copper still that is used for the distillation of Lavender essential oils, and sample a flight of homemade nonalcoholic brews for $10. Individual servings range from $4 to $7.
The Kirmeiers purchased the 37-acre farm in 2019. In the following years, they have grown adept at experimenting with the best crops to grow in the ever-changing climate conditions. They have invested in the symbiotic ecosystem of Stockholm, supplying local taverns with their lavender syrup for cocktails, and purchasing locally for their kombucha ingredients, and encouraging Lavender Bluff Farm visitors to buy their picnic food items at local cafes.
